  • Team returns to top of URC standings with two games remaining

The DHL Stormers delivered one of their most complete performances of the season, overpowering Glasgow Warriors 48–12 at DHL Stadium to reclaim top position in the Vodacom United Rugby Championship standings.

In front of a crowd of approximately 26,000 supporters, the Stormers took control of the match early and maintained their dominance throughout, scoring six tries in a convincing display that reasserted their credentials as title contenders.

The home side wasted little time imposing themselves, with early points setting the tone for what would become a one-sided contest. Ntuthuko Mchunu was instrumental in the opening stages, crossing the line twice and providing a strong presence in both open play and the set pieces.

The Stormers’ forward pack laid the foundation for the victory, delivering a powerful scrummaging performance while consistently gaining ground through structured attacking phases. Their physical dominance disrupted Glasgow’s rhythm and forced errors across the field.

Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu played a central role in the win, combining accurate goal-kicking with creative playmaking. He added a try to his performance and maintained control of the tempo, guiding the Stormers through both halves of the match.

Although Glasgow managed to respond before halftime with two tries, the Stormers quickly shut down any hopes of a comeback. The second half saw the hosts extend their lead with further tries from Evan Roos, Ruhan Nel and Keke Morabe, as they continued to apply pressure across all areas of the game.

The result not only ends a run of previous losses to Glasgow, but also strengthens the Stormers’ position at the top of the URC standings with two matches remaining in the regular season.

With momentum firmly on their side, the Stormers now turn their focus to upcoming away fixtures, as they look to secure a strong finish heading into the playoffs.
