From safari lodges and boutique wine estates to conservation tourism and world-class hospitality, some of Africa’s most powerful travel brands are preparing to descend on Cape Town next week as the Mother City once again takes centre stage in the global tourism spotlight.
We Are Africa is set to return to Cape Town from the fourth to the ninth of May, bringing together some of the continent’s most influential tourism brands, international buyers, travel media, and hospitality decision-makers for what organisers describe as Africa’s most impactful high-end travel gathering.
Hosted at DHL Stadium, the four-day showcase is expected to attract more than three hundred leading African travel brands, ranging from luxury safari operators and boutique hotels to conservation projects, destination management companies, and cultural tourism specialists.
Over the course of the event, exhibitors will take part in a carefully curated programme of pre-scheduled meetings with global buyers, tourism investors, and international media representatives, creating opportunities for strategic partnerships, new market access, and long-term commercial growth.
But organisers say the event is about far more than business.
Designed to challenge outdated perceptions and reshape how the world sees Africa, We Are Africa places equal emphasis on authentic storytelling, cultural heritage, conservation, community development, and sustainable tourism.
Every connection made during the event, every contract signed, and every partnership formed is intended to support a future where Africa’s natural landscapes, wildlife, communities, and creative industries are valued, protected, and responsibly shared with the world.
Cape Town’s selection as host once again highlights the city’s growing influence in global tourism and its reputation as one of the continent’s leading gateways for international business and premium travel experiences.
Industry observers say the economic impact extends far beyond the stadium itself.
Hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, transport operators, event suppliers, and tourism service providers across the metro are all expected to benefit as hundreds of delegates, buyers, and media crews arrive in the city.
In addition to business meetings, delegates will take part in thought leadership sessions, networking events, and industry discussions focused on the future of luxury travel, evolving consumer trends, sustainability, and Africa’s growing role in the global tourism economy.
As the Western Cape continues positioning itself as both an investment destination and world-class tourism hub, next week’s event offers Cape Town another opportunity to showcase not only its scenery and hospitality, but its ability to lead conversations shaping the future of African travel on the global stage.
