The McLaren Circus is set to return to Kraaifontein as part of its 2026 tour, bringing a traditional circus experience to Cape Town with a mix of international acts, high-risk performances, and family-focused entertainment.

The event will take place at Monument Park High School in Kraaifontein, offering audiences a chance to experience a full-scale circus production featuring a range of visually striking and high-energy performances.

Among the main attractions are the flying trapeze and the globe of death, both of which are expected to draw strong interest from audiences seeking a mix of spectacle and adrenaline. These performances form part of a broader programme designed to recreate the atmosphere of a traditional circus, combining acrobatics, precision, and live entertainment.

In addition to the aerial and high-speed acts, the show will also include animal performances involving trained animals that have become a recognised feature of the McLaren Circus brand. Organisers say the inclusion of these acts is aimed at delivering a familiar and accessible experience for families attending the event.

The circus forms part of a national tour, with multiple show dates scheduled to allow flexibility for audiences. In Kraaifontein, the main performance on Saturday, 18 April, is set to run from 15:00 to 17:00, with additional dates available for those unable to attend the opening show.

The event is expected to attract families and local residents looking for accessible entertainment options within the area. Its return to the Western Cape reflects ongoing demand for live performances that combine traditional formats with modern production elements.

Tickets are available through official booking platforms, with organisers anticipating steady demand as the event approaches. For many attendees, the circus offers a rare opportunity to experience a traditional form of live entertainment that continues to evolve while maintaining its core appeal.
